Corny Bean Salad

A whole lot of iron and fun! The colors in the salad will surely attract a lot of attention from your kids. Bean salad is a common salad dish composed of various beans — (green beans and/or yellow wax beans), cooked garbanzo beans, cooked kidney beans and typically onions, peppers or other vegetables, in a vinaigrette broth, sometimes sweetened with sugar. Some bean salads contain barley, pasta noodles or rice in them. Here you get a simple and easy Corny Bean Salad recipe.

  • Rajma (kidney beans)1/4 cup
  • Kabuli chana (white chick peas)2 tbsp
  • Boiled corn1/2 cup
  • Chopped spring onions1/2 cup
  • Shredded lettuce1 cup
  • Chopped cucumber1/2 cup To Be Mixed Into a Dressing
  • ANANDA DAHI3/4 cup
  • Chopped coriander (dhania)1/4 cup
  • Chopped mint leaves (phudina)2 tbsp
  • Green chillies2
  • Sugar1/2
  • Saltto taste


Soak the kidney beans and kabuli chana in water for 7 to 8 hours.

Drain and discard the water, wash, add salt and 2 cups of water and boil till tender.

Drain again and discard the water. Keep aside to cool.

Toss all the ingredients with the dressing and serve.
